Clock Arch
The Clock Arch rises over the old Market Gate, part of the first walled enclosure of Toro.
It is a slender square tower, made of limestone ashlar, sober in style and Baroque in character, dating from the 18th century.
One of the most curious stories associated with it says that the mortar was mixed with wine because wine was more abundant than water in the town.
This place forms part of the cultural heritage that makes Toro one of the most interesting destinations in Zamora for a monumental, wine-focused and gastronomic getaway.
