Church of San Julián de los Caballeros
Its foundation is one of the oldest in the town. The current monument dates from the 16th century and its design is attributed to the famous architect Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón.
The church has a rectangular plan and is organised into three naves of equal height separated by formeret arches.
Inside, the main altarpiece, the pulpit from the Royal Monastery of San Ildefonso and the 18th-century Baroque side altarpiece are especially noteworthy. It also contains the tombs of distinguished figures from Toro.
This place forms part of the cultural heritage that makes Toro one of the most interesting destinations in Zamora for a monumental, wine-focused and gastronomic getaway.
