Palace of the Counts of Requena
This was a splendid mansion of the Counts of Requena. It is Gothic in style and dates from the late 15th century.
Over time, it served different purposes, from militia barracks to a school run by the Piarist Fathers.
Its central courtyard is the most remarkable part, with hunting scenes, a curious bullfighting scene and coats of arms of the Manuel, Ulloa, Carbajal and Manrique families.
This place forms part of the cultural heritage that makes Toro one of the most interesting destinations in Zamora for a monumental, wine-focused and gastronomic getaway.
