What to see in Toro

Palace of the Marquises of Castrillo

Located on Calle Corredera, this palace dates from the second half of the 16th century.

Except for the limestone ashlar doorway, the rest of the façade is made of brick. Its ironwork also dates from the same period, with one Gothic-style balcony and two Renaissance-style balconies.

Today the palace is used as a cultural centre, with a fine library and exhibition halls.

This place forms part of the cultural heritage that makes Toro one of the most interesting destinations in Zamora for a monumental, wine-focused and gastronomic getaway.
