Corredera Gate in Toro

What to see in Toro

Corredera Gate

The Corredera Gate was built in 1602 with a purely decorative purpose, in an opening in the earthen walls, to welcome King Philip III.

Like other gates of its time, it imitates the triumphal arches of Imperial Rome.

It remains one of the historic gateways associated with Toro’s urban image.

This place forms part of the cultural heritage that makes Toro one of the most interesting destinations in Zamora for a monumental, wine-focused and gastronomic getaway.
