Royal Monastery of Santa Clara
The Royal Monastery of Santa Clara was founded by Doña Berenguela, eldest daughter of King Alfonso X the Wise.
It has a large central courtyard with a 17th-century brick gallery.
The frescoes that once decorated its interior can now be seen in the museum of San Sebastián de los Caballeros. The monastery also houses works of great interest.
This place forms part of the cultural heritage that makes Toro one of the most interesting destinations in Zamora for a monumental, wine-focused and gastronomic getaway.
